The Malossi gears are a high-quality product designed for the Vespa transmission. Made with special case-hardening steel, these gears are produced with CNC gear cutting machines and ground on the contact surfaces.
Thanks to small pockets on the contact surfaces, it is possible to transport oil to ensure optimal lubrication between the walls that slide against each other. The number of teeth has been calculated to offer an optimized transmission ratio.
In addition, lightening holes have been drilled in all gears, except in the contact section with the cross, to avoid breaking points. The Malossi gears have the same number of teeth as the original ones, the same gear engagement, and the toothed belt has been moved to improve engagement with the primary shaft.
The position of the driving tooth with the cross and the spaces between the gears remain unchanged. These gears can be installed as replacements for the Piaggio gears on the original shaft.
