The PVL internal rotor ignition from Stage6 R/T has been updated! The new MK 2 internal rotor ignition from Stage6 R/T for 50cc Piaggio scooters now features a freely programmable control unit that allows you to adapt the ignition curve to the engine's configuration and preferences.
Optional Mapping Programming
If you do not want (or cannot) program the control unit, no problem! The included control unit is already loaded with the latest MK2 ignition curves. This means that the ignition is plug & play without needing to use the programming function unless desired.
- Option 1: Do not connect the green wire to ground: Curve with less advance → track racing
- Option 2: Connect the green wire to ground: Curve with more advance → acceleration races
- Option 3: Program the ignition curve yourself. To program the CDI, special software and the Stage6 R/T interface with code S6-45ET017 are required.
If you want more potential for high revs, you can install a weight plate on the ignition rotor. This modification increases inertia at high RPMs.

As with the previous model, PVL provides extremely tested and reliable hardware, while Stage6 contributes the software, namely the two ignition curves, based on the experience of thousands of bench tests and years on the track in the most prestigious competitions.

Notes and Recommendations for Stage6 R/T Ignition:
- The Stage6 R/T MK2 ignition is a racing ignition, therefore it does not provide power for lights/water pump. A battery is required to power the electrical system.
- It cannot be used in combination with Malossi MHR Team crankshafts.
- It is recommended to use a racing spark plug and kill switch.
- Ensure there is a ground wire between the engine case and the frame!
