Internal Rotor Ignition for Yamaha, Malaguti Scooters + CDI Reprogramming Kit

The PVL internal rotor ignition from Stage6 R/T has been updated! The new MK 2 internal rotor ignition from Stage6 R/T for 50cc scooters with Minarelli engine now features a freely programmable control unit that allows you to adapt the ignition curve to the configuration and preferences of your engine.

Optional Mapping Programming

If you do not want (or cannot) program the control unit, no problem! The included control unit is already loaded with the latest MK2 ignition curves. This means that the ignition is plug & play without having to use the programming function unless desired.

  • Option 1: Do not connect the green wire to ground: Curve with less advance → track racing
  • Option 2: Connect the green wire to ground: Curve with more advance → acceleration races
  • Option 3: Program the ignition curve yourself. To program the CDI, special software and the Stage6 R/T interface with code S6-45ET017 are required.

If you desire greater potential for high RPMs, you can install a weighting disc on the ignition rotor. This modification increases inertia at high speeds.

Notes and Recommendations for Stage6 R/T Ignition:

  • The Stage6 R/T MK2 ignition is a racing ignition, therefore it does not provide power for lights/water pump. A battery is required to power the electrical system.
  • It cannot be used in combination with Malossi MHR Team crankshafts.
  • It is recommended to use a racing spark plug and kill switch.
  • Ensure there is a ground wire between the engine casing and the frame!

Included Programming Software for Stage6 R/T Ignition

Programming software and hardware for the Stage6 R/T internal rotor ignition.

The Stage6 R/T ignition comes with a CDI with 2 pre-programmed ignition curves. If you want to take it a step further, you can adapt the mappings to your individual configuration using this software.

Interface and Compatibility

The supply includes the necessary hardware interface and software in German and English versions.

The software is compatible with Windows 10, and detailed instructions for installation and application are included on the USB stick.
