To compensate for this deficit we are having them reproduced under the 'SIP Spareparts' banner. Like so many parts from the earlier vespa models with the headlamp on the front mudguard (Faro Basso), the original speedometer unit is no longer available for neither love nor money. So we decided to source them ourselves and were successful. Many versions are available in differing colours and kilometre scale. This calbe is stronger and more reliable than the original 1,9mm one. Please take care when ordering a new cable and new drive cog. Technical Tip: If you require the look of the original PIAGGIO speedometer face this can be done cheaply by a number of professional firms, but due to the simplicity of the task can be quite easily achieved in a DIY manner. Conclusion: Great value for money, making a speedometer replacement affordable.
