Handlebar SERIE PRO for Vespa 125 GT/150 GL/Sprint 125 GT/150 GL/Sprint also for Vespa 180 SS trapezoidal, incl. throttle/gear tube Grade C - low-priced repairs The Vespa large frame models from the 1960s and 1970s were serially produced either with round or trapezoidal headlamps. The handlebars reflect this shape. If a handlebar is broken or damaged, it must be replaced. We also stock various round and trapezoidal handlebars. Various model handlebars can also be interchanged among each other in the case of large frames. This is not only interesting for custom rebuilds but also in terms of safety and drive comfort. Only in the round handlebars of the Rally/VBB can one install clear glass headlamps which ensure considerably improved lighting. Throttle and gear tubes (always intended for 4 gear models) are already pre-mounted for all handlebars. Digital SIP speedometers/rev counters are available for all handlebars. SIP TIP: Order new screws for the steering head, sheeting and steering head bearing set at the same time. Information : Some Smallframe steering columns have a slightly differing layout, depending on the manufacturer or country of origin. On certain types the steering assembly pinch bolt can be misaligned by 2mm to the channel cut for it on the column. To remedy this problem the channel on the steering column should be filed open by 2mm to completely facilitate the pinch bolt mechanism. We strongly recommend that this be checked and modified when necessary before the final paintwork is applied to your scooter.According to production run batch, all replica steering assemblies display excessive fluctuations in the manufacturing tolerances of the steering column connection opening. If difficulties are encountered, during attachment over the steering column, do not increase the force used as cracks can easily occur. The opening should instead be machined to increase its internal diameter slightly for a correct fit. If, on the other hand, the opening is too large the damage can occur when the pinch-bolt is over tightened while attempting to achieve a torque value of 45Nm. This can also cause dangerous cracking around the mounting area. In some cases the incompatibility can be caused by a thick application of paint. We check these headsets for compatibility with the steering columns produced by PIAGGIO, RMS and LIF and they are then suitably modified for a perfect fit by an established engineering company in Germany. These modified headsets are then made available as part of our SERIE PRO range of products.
