The POLINI 130cc is an all-rounder, suitable for all applications: from the relaxed plug-and-play city cruiser with 19/ 24mm carburettor on a disc valves, to the heavily modified cylinder, membrane inlet and 30mm carburettor.The POLINI is THE entry cylinder into the famous ESC (Euro Scooter Challenge) racing series. Successful for years, with countless winners of tough duels and racing battles. This is simply the optimal basis for cylinder modifications or conversions. 7 transfer ports combined with a solid ASSO piston equipped with 1.5mm thick ductile cast iron rings make up to 12.2 PS possible without any extra modifications. To create a real high flyer the port timings can be adjusted throug milling the upper end, raising it´s height with a gasket spacher and enlarging the ports. At this stage the highend piston rings made by GRAND-SPORT should be considered or even a complete piston replacement. In order to optimise the port timings, to raise the cylinders height or to comencate for changed compression heights we have gasket spacers available with various thicknesses. To be able to enlarge the transfers to the max in a symetric fashion the base of the cylinder should be removed and replaced with gaskets spacers of an appropriate thickness.With the CNC-machined MMW cylinder heads you can get even more performance out of the POLINI.With POLINI, the reed valve intake manifolds are unfortunately not available in sizes above 24/ 25mm. Anyone who wants something bigger will have to do some work themselves. For V50/PV/ET3 2-hole and from a carburettor size of 28mm, the once-again growing number of fans of disc valves can use the FALC or the PARMAKIT intake manifolds. Tip: Anyone who wants to benefit from years of tuning experience and to save money is advised to go for the modified WORB5/POLINI Conversions. Conclusion: A timeless cylinder that still has bite even now. Torque from below, ideal entry product for all of those for whom power and service life are important. Reliable tourer and an ideal candidate for two-person use. With the right equipment and suitable adaptation, engine performances above 20 PS are quite possible. Cast iron/ 57mm bore/ 7 transfer ports/ 130.14cc Cast iron cylinder, stroke 51mm, 7 transfer ports, pistons with 2x 1.5mm piston rings, 8mm exhaust studs, original POLINI cylinder head is also provided, compression 11.4:1, incl. gasket set. Jets should be adjusted. Fits all Vespa PV/ET3/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. The crankcase should be matched to fit larger cylinder transfers. SIP- TIP: Adjusting the main jet and installing a new spark plug is a must. Racing crankshaft with 20/20 or 24/25mm cone, racing exhaust like PM40, VSP Race, FRANZ, e-ignition like VESPATRONIC or PARMAKIT, 20/ 24mm carburettor. Primary 2.54, up to max. 2.34. GS piston/ piston rings recommended. CNC-machined MALOSSI cylinder heads have also proven their worth. Stoffi, SIP-STOFFI Racing Team, Deutscher Meister ESC 2006/2007: 'In 2006 and 2007 we won the German championship title of the ESC with a modified, raised POLINI. We also won a 4-hr. race, which also says a lot about the stability and endurance of the engine. With VSP race exhaust, PARMAKIT ignition, etc. the engine had 18.5 PS and was very pleasant and smooth to ride.'
