This spring is designed to tackle the challenges posed by high-performance transformation kits, where the transmission belt may experience slipping or the pulley may not adequately counteract the movement of the pulley mounted on the crankshaft.
POLINI contrast springs offer an increased load compared to the stock springs: the blue model for MaxiScooters has a 10% higher load, while for 50cc scooters, the white model features a 7% increase and the blue model a 15% increase. It is important to use these higher load springs only when strictly necessary, as the best performance is achieved with lower load springs that ensure optimal power transmission. Springs with excessive loads can trap the belt between the pulleys, increasing wear and reducing transmission efficiency.
Another distinctive feature is the EVO SLIDER, made from a special wear-resistant and self-lubricating material, which allows the spring to slide consistently during the variator shift travel. This design improves the system's response, ensuring smooth and long-lasting operation.
For installation, it is necessary to remove the transmission cover and follow the specific instructions, paying attention to the correct positioning of the spring and the EVO SLIDER. It is also advisable to check the condition of the transmission belt and replace it with a POLINI belt in case of signs of wear.
