Shock Absorber PASCOLI Stand.. ..ard front for Vespa 125 V30 ..ard front for Vespa 125 V30-31, body: silver, l 175/210 mm, seating: lug/lug, STANDARD chassis - likeoriginal The shock absorber is the central element of the chassis and a safety-relevant component. If it is either defective or if a shock absorber is used that does not correspond with the riding style, this can lead to nasty surprises. Shock absorbers that are too soft can break easily or give you the fright of your life in curves or at high speeds. A defective shock absorber has a negative impact on the drive comfort and safety. This becomes evident either if the spring only works when it is put under pressure (excessively fast extension), or through obvious traces of fluid loss around the damping rod. To resolve such a problem, a new shocker is necessary. The Standard shock absorbers correspond with the originals in terms of their stiffness and their appearance. They are supplied with/without springs and with/without covering caps depending on the model. The CARBONE shock absorbers are made in Italy and convince thanks to their exceptionally high quality. The standard CARBONE are a little stiffer than the original suspension – a top original spare part with a decent appearance at very good value for money. The PASCOLI and NEGRO shocks are a feast for the eyes and the first choice for anyone who wants to restore a Vespa. Similar to the Premium shock absorbers they are very high quality and correspond exactly to the original designs. The ESCORTS are from India, work well and are a bit harder, then the original once. BAJAJ shock absorbers are economically priced replacement shock absorbers including a M 9 thread. Normally this connection has a M 8 thread so the fixing bolt will also require replacement (Part No. : 20008980) Each type of BAJAJ shock absorber is available with various finishes and styles for both the spring and the body of the unit with either phosphated, zinc plated, painted or chrome plated versions. HELPFUL HINT: The first prototype Vespa scooters rear suspension consisted of a simple block of rubber. The ride was first improved in 1948 with the inclusion of a separate spring and damper system with the Vespa 125 V1-15T/V30-33/Hoffmann A/B/C/ACMA->70910/VM/VN1T->06000/VU1 models. An integrated spring and damper unit was introduced in 1950 with the Vespa 125 VN1T 06000->/VN2/ACMA 70191->150 VL/VB1/GS 150 VS1-5/T1-T3/VGL1T models. Conclusion: The shock absorber unit needs replacement during every major service or restoration. SIP -TIP: Do not forget to order new damping rubbers and extended nut when overhauling your suspension. SIP Community user ?Thilo? on Part No. 65022100: 'If your suspension is feeling tired or vague and the state of the roads could be better, replace your shockers and everything will be fine!'
