MOTUL DOT5.1 Brake Fluid 0.5L

The DOT 5.1 brake fluid is a synthetic fluid based on polyglycol, designed to ensure optimal performance in disc and drum braking systems, particularly for vehicles equipped with ABS. This product meets the FMVSS 116 DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 standards, and is characterized by a non-silicone base compliant with ISO 4925 regulations.

Thanks to its high wet boiling point, this brake fluid offers exceptional durability, facilitating circulation within anti-lock braking systems. Its formulation resists corrosion and behaves neutrally towards the seals of the braking system, thus ensuring consistent reliability over time.

It is recommended to replace the fluid every 12-24 months, following the manufacturer's guidelines. It is important to seal the original container to prevent moisture absorption. For safety reasons, it is advised not to top off brake fluids, but to completely replace them. It is crucial to avoid mixing this fluid with silicone-based products or special fluids, as it may damage the vehicle's paint.

The fluid is visually yellow in color, with a viscosity of 2.1 mm²/s at 100°C and 820.0 mm²/s at -40°C. The dry boiling point is 269.0 °C, while the wet boiling point is 187.0 °C, ensuring high performance even in extreme conditions.
