Disc Brake MMW rear right, for Vespa 125 VNB4-6T/GT/GTR for Vespa 125 VNB4-6T/GT/GTR/Super/TS/150 VBB2T/Sprint/V/Super/P150S/Rally/PX80-200/PE/Lusso/´98/MY/´11/T5, inside, incl. brake drum/disc/caliper/seating For race use only. Not admitted in the area of the German StVZO! A rear disc brake is the crowning glory to the customisation of any Vespa. This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. A rear disc brake is not only an extreme show factor, it also represents a brake upgrade: no brake fading any more, precise braking point, sensitive brake application. An upgrade that was once only open to technical experts, we have now made it available to everyone as a Plug&Play solution. The SIP rear disc brake is a left-hand version. The GRIMECA brake seat is fitted on a robust mount which is attached to the engine suspension arm. The brake disc comes with a KBA number and is screwed to an aluminium cylinder which is attached to a modified brake drum (30mm oil seal seat). A copy of the TÜV (German Ministry of Transport) certificate that was issued for a previous can be viewed in the download area and makes individual approval easier. The rear MMW disc brake is the less obtrusive right-hand version. MMW has succeeded in using the almost non-existent space so there is enough space there for a GRIMECA brake seat plus attachment and it operates an RMS brake disc. A brake drum with 30mm oil seal seat is also modified here. You can also enhance the custom effect by fitting the SIP brake calliper to it. With the SIP disc brake is no changes to the engine or the frame are required, at the MMW disc brake you have to machine material from the engine. They go with wide tyres. Through a modification of the exhaust holder, left-hand racing exhaust systems for wide tyres are also suitable on the SIP disc brakes. Their operation is either semi or fully hydrostatic. It is semi-hydrostatic it is necessary for the corresponding GRIMECA brake cylinder to be installed under the side panel, for example. This is then operated with a cable pull. With the fully hydraulic version the brake pedal is exchanged for an MMW brake pedal which then actuates the main brake cylinder. The actuator is not included in the scope of supply. Attention: Ensure a sufficient clearance between the caliper and the rear rim. It might be neccessary to use additional washers or a different rim combination (e.g.: GS4 half (no studs) and a narrow Cosa half or a wide tyre kit). Conclusion: A rear disc brake is the crowning glory to a street racer. Installation requires specific skills and experience, however. SIP-TIP: Order the corresponding main brake cylinder at the same time. The SIP wide tyre spacer kit (part no. 820121J0) is a perfect complement.
