The Malossi VARPLUS variator offers unprecedented control over your transmission, allowing you to optimize engine usage and achieve significant energy savings.

Thanks to the possibility of replacing and combining the 18 supplied rollers, you can adjust the opening from 2500 to 8500 rpm in a gradual and precise manner.

The operating principle of VARPLUS is based on the rotation of the masses inside the half-pulley. Depending on the weight of the masses and the rotation speed, the thrust and advancement of the pulley vary accordingly. Increasing the weight of the masses or the rotation speed increases the thrust, while decreasing them reduces the thrust.

The VARPLUS half-pulley is made of high-strength silicon aluminum, extremely lightweight and free of external roughness. The 6 roller tracks, with calculated inclination, are guided in the center by a special self-lubricating bronze bushing, filled with PTFE, an extremely fluid material that requires no maintenance.

The bearing of the movable half-pulley is guided by two interchangeable nylon guide bushings, which slide in rectified holes, eliminating torsional stresses on the rollers that can cause friction and wear. This system gives the variator greater efficiency, superior graduality, and eliminates chaotic effects, ensuring a smoother and more performing transmission.
