The Malossi Ø 68.5 aluminum cylinder kit is a high-quality product designed to offer superior performance compared to the previous version. The Ø 68.5 aluminum cylinder was introduced in 1983 as a breakthrough in Vespa tuning. Made of Nicasil aluminum, with a super-light piston and semi-trapezoidal rings of 1.2 mm, this cylinder immediately became an icon for enthusiasts.

In 2008, the cylinder was updated with the addition of a hemispherical combustion chamber head and a central spark plug. In 2013, it was completely redesigned in the transfer and exhaust ports, presenting three different versions. In 2016, a new piston with a black mantle treated with molybdenum sulfide was introduced. The piston design was improved to ensure a perfect fit with the cylinder and the possibility of interchangeability with previous versions.

In 2022, a flange-connector kit was introduced to connect the muffler to the cylinder. This kit allows mounting any type of muffler available on the market with a Ø44.5 inlet, ensuring maximum resistance and preventing loosening or rotation problems due to vehicle vibrations. The kit is attached to the cylinder using 4 cylindrical head screws and a sealing O-ring on the exhaust port to prevent coolant leaks.
