Malossi cast iron thermal unit D 63

The Malossi Ø 63 cast iron cylinder kit is an ideal product for owners of Vespa COSA and PX 125-150cc.

The cylinder has been designed with a bore of 63 mm and a displacement of 178cc, with a completely revised internal fluid dynamics.

The new transfer ports allow for proper coupling with matched or completely original crankcases, optimizing the flow and achieving significant performance increases without the need for further vehicle modifications.

The intake ports have a profile designed to improve combustion efficiency and ensure optimal scavenging, increasing combustion efficiency and reducing losses of fresh charge to the exhaust.

The exhaust ports have been designed with an innovative double-inclination profile, utilizing the Coandà effect to increase flow and reduce short-circuiting of fresh charge to the exhaust.

The exhaust has been revised to ensure proper gas flow towards the muffler.

The Ø 63 piston has been calculated and optimized to withstand the high temperatures developed in the combustion chamber during operation, reducing the risk of seizing.

The cylinder head has been completely revised, with curved and sinuous cooling fins to maximize cooling and a unique and original design.

The head structure has been reinforced to ensure rigidity and lightness, while the interior is hemispherical and machined with CNC machines.

The inclined positioning of the spark plug and the two centering bushes guarantee perfect coupling between the head and the cylinder, eliminating the need for any gaskets and improving heat exchange.
