The Malossi Ø 44 cylinder is a high-quality product, made of aluminum and specifically designed for 4-stroke mopeds. With a bore of Ø 44 mm and a stroke of 43.6 mm, it offers a displacement of 66.3 cc and a compression ratio of 12.01.
Made with a primary alloy of silicon-hardened aluminum, the cylinder features a barrel with a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel matrix and cross-grinding with two diamond passes, ensuring high precision and strength.
The machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, with cylinder-piston couplings selected with a tolerance of only 0.05 mm. The heat exchange surfaces have been recalculated and increased to ensure optimal efficiency.
The piston, super compact with three segments, is made of a special primary alloy of low thermal expansion silicon aluminum and has a tin coating on the sliding walls. The piston is also machined on CNC machines, lightened and reinforced to ensure high performance.
Finally, the segments are special with high sliding and very high mechanical resistance. The first compression segment is made of nitrided and chromed steel, while the second segment is made of special cast iron. The oil scraper consists of three pieces of special alloyed and chromed steel.
