The Malossi Ø74 aluminum cylinder is an ideal product for 4-stroke mopeds. Made with a primary alloy of silicon-enriched aluminum, it features a barrel with a silicon carbide coating in a galvanic nickel matrix and cross-grinding with two diamond passes, thus ensuring extremely tight tolerances. The machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines, ensuring cylinder-piston couplings with a selection of only 0.05 mm. Furthermore, the heat exchange surfaces have been recalculated and increased, ensuring excellent heat dissipation.
The cylinder piston is super compact and composed of three segments. Made with a special primary alloy of low thermal expansion silicon aluminum, it features a tin coating on the sliding walls. The piston is also machined on CNC machines, guaranteeing a lightweight and durable product. The heat exchange surfaces have been increased, allowing for further heat dissipation.
Finally, the cylinder segments are of high quality. The compression segment is special, with high sliding and exceptional mechanical resistance thanks to special nitrided steel. The first oil scraper is made of chromed S10 spheroidal cast iron, while the second oil scraper is made up of three pieces of chromed alloy steel.
The Malossi Ø74 aluminum cylinder is a high-quality product, made with precious materials and processed with extreme precision. Thanks to its characteristics, it guarantees optimal performance and improved heat dissipation, thus enhancing the moped's performance.
