The Malossi HTQ secondary gears are a high-quality product designed to improve transmission performance. With a gear ratio of 13/48 and a forced fitting of Ø 17, these gears offer an optimized driving experience.
Made of special straight-tooth steel, these gears completely eliminate axial thrust, reducing stress on the bearings. Thanks to their precision manufacturing, they are able to provide high levels of silence and durability.
It is important to note that starting from 1998, Piaggio made changes to the fitting of secondary transmission gears in scooters, transitioning from Ø 18 to Ø 17.67. However, the exact dates of the start of mass production for the new gears and the engine numbers they refer to are not clearly defined.
To facilitate those who need to replace the gears on these scooters, we have compiled a table listing the first and second series of gears. This way, it will be possible to visually check the gears after disassembly and proceed with accurate replacement.
