Malossi DIGITRONIC digital ECU

The Malossi digital DIGITRONIC electronic control unit is an ideal product for 50cc two-stroke vehicles. This control unit is equipped with a variable advance, which offers a completely modified advance curve compared to the original and a rev limiter set at 15,000 RPM.

The new Digitronic manages both the ignition advance and the SAS valve. Regarding the ignition advance, a linear interpolation of a three-dimensional quoted plane is used, composed of 16 engine speed break points and 8 engine temperature break points. This allows optimizing the advance based on different usage conditions.

The SAS valve, controlled by the control unit, allows the introduction of secondary air downstream of the throttle valve. This system helps compensate for the typical nonlinearities of a carburetor system. The management of the SAS valve is carried out through a linear interpolation quoted plane, with 16 break points based on engine speed and 8 break points based on engine temperature. This management reduces pollutant emissions and optimizes engine performance in all usage conditions.

The control unit is designed to be plug & play, so it is compatible with the original sensors and actuators. Thanks to the refined calibrations and quoted planes, it is possible to achieve a concrete increase in engine performance. Furthermore, it is possible to adjust the advance according to personal preferences.
