Malossi Manifold D 21/27 length 19 angled Minarelli vertical

The Malossi Ø 21x27 inclined intake manifold is an essential component for Yamaha, MBK, and Minarelli vertical 2-stroke engines with a displacement of 50cc. This manifold serves as an access corridor for the air-fuel mixture into the engine through the reed valve.

The overall performance of an engine depends on various factors, including volumetric, thermodynamic, and mechanical efficiency. Volumetric efficiency represents the ratio between the amount of mixture entering the combustion chamber and the engine displacement.

The intake manifold plays a fundamental role in volumetric efficiency as it must allow the passage of the mixture with minimal loss. It is important to avoid abrupt changes in section and sharp edges along the mixture's path.

In addition, the intake manifold acts as a reservoir for the fresh charge, allowing the mixture to accumulate and compress against the reeds when the reed valve closes.
