The Malossi RS24 front shock absorber is a technologically advanced component, ideal for improving performance and comfort during driving. With a distance between centers of 275 mm, this regenerable oleopneumatic shock absorber offers an optimal driving experience.
Equipped with a bilamellar piston and a diaphragm compensation, this shock absorber ensures perfect stability and excellent response to stress. The piston, with a diameter of 36 mm, consists of two independent lamellar packs: one in extension and one in compression. The lamellar system made of harmonic steel with a leaf spring configuration guarantees greater resistance and durability over time.
The piston guide shoe is made with the LUBRIFLON-PTFE B70 compound, a modified material loaded with bronze. Sliding occurs on a GUIDE DU bushing, a composite obtained by sintering a layer of spheroidal bronze onto a properly processed mild steel strip, with subsequent impregnation and application of a PTFE+PB mixture. This combination of materials ensures smooth operation and increased resistance to wear.
The scraper ring made of SEALTHANE polyester resin grade 9345 helps keep the shock absorber clean and free of contaminants, ensuring optimal operation over time.
The shock absorber rod, with a diameter of 14 mm, is made of 38NCD4 hardened alloy steel and has a hard chrome deposit with a thickness of 25/30 microns. This treatment gives the shaft a surface hardness of HRC 55/60, ensuring greater resistance to wear and long-lasting durability.
