This results in a noticeable loss of power and gain in decibel output. In this case the silencer wool requires replacement. MALOSSI employ an especially fire resistant and sonically absorbent fibreglass silencer wool. All MALOSSI silencers are stud mounted enabling ease of access to the perforated silencer exit tube. It has proved to wrap the wool loosely around the central perforated exhaust exit tube during reconstruction of the silencer unit. SIP-TIP: Fibreglass is a skin-irritant in this form.
