The Malossi MHR TEAM II internal rotor ignition is an innovative product designed for scooters. This ignition is equipped with many advanced features that make it an ideal option for improving engine performance. One of the main features of this ignition is the ability to manage multiple maps simultaneously without the need for handheld devices or additional tools. Just a simple click is enough to select the desired map. Additionally, it is possible to shift the selected map by moving the +/- 2° OFFSET.

Malossi ignitions are known for their cutting-edge technology applied to competitions. These new internal rotor ignitions have been developed to overcome the technical limitations of stock flywheel-ignition assemblies. The latter, in fact, do not guarantee performance consistency beyond 10,000 RPM, causing tuning issues. To solve this problem, the control unit of this ignition has been equipped with a microprocessor based on uP STM8 - 8 Bit with a calculation capacity exceeding 20 MIPS, ensuring a much higher spark accuracy compared to the previous version.

The MHR Team II range features a non-remappable variable advance control unit with 3 trimmers. The first trimmer, called MAPS, allows you to select the desired advance map. The second trimmer, called OFFSET, allows you to shift the selected map by +/- 2°. The third trimmer, called LIM, is particularly suitable for 4-stroke engines and allows you to vary the RPM limiter intervention.

This ignition is equipped with 8 preset maps, divided into 1 for variable advance 4-stroke engines, 6 for variable advance 2-stroke engines, and 1 with fixed advance. Furthermore, other fundamental components such as the high-voltage coil have also been improved, now capable of delivering a maximum discharge voltage exceeding 40 KV for normal engine rotation speeds of over 3000 RPM.

One of the most important innovations of this ignition is the new rotor-stator assembly, which has been completely redesigned from a mechanical and electronic standpoint. This has allowed for a 30% weight reduction of the stator part and a 20% improvement in electrical efficiency. Furthermore, it has been possible to reduce the minimum starting RPM from 450 RPM to 370 RPM.

The control unit of this ignition features a system based on uP STM8 - 8 Bit with a calculation capacity exceeding 20 MIPS. This system offers reduced calculation times, improved advance actuation precision and stability. Additionally, the hardware architecture has been improved to ensure even greater immunity to disturbances. The wiring is made with a temperature class of 105°C.

The high-voltage coil of this ignition is capable of delivering a maximum discharge voltage exceeding 40 KV for engine rotation speeds above 3000 RPM. The maximum open gap voltage peak is over 50KV. Furthermore, the rise time is over 1750V/uS at 10 bar.

The rotor-stator assembly of this ignition features a monolithic high-permeability magnetic circuit and an optimized magnetic path. The winding part has been reinforced with a higher thermal class cable and a larger wire diameter. This has allowed for a 20% improvement in electrical efficiency and a reduction of the minimum starting RPM from 450 RPM to 370 RPM. The miniaturized connector is waterproof and IP67 certified, with retention lock. The wiring is automotive class. The rotor has a diameter of 58 mm and is equipped with Neodymium permanent magnets.

It is important to note that with this type of ignition, the vehicle's electrical system is excluded.
