The Malossi RHQ crankshaft is specifically designed for Piaggio mopeds. This component is essential for the operation of the internal combustion engine and determines its performance.
Malossi is committed to producing only high-quality crankshafts, which are essential for achieving a reliable and high-performing engine. The crankpins are made of 18 Ni Cr Mo5 material and the rotating masses are monolithic and forged.
All components undergo five heat treatments and are processed with highly precise machine tools. The surface finish is particularly well-crafted to ensure greater reliability.
The crankshaft is also subjected to dynamic balancing up to 16,000 RPM. The connecting rod is forged in 18 Ni Cr Mo5 copper-plated and coupled to the crankshaft through a precision roller bearing, ideal for high speeds.
