The Malossi RHQ crankshaft has a pin with a diameter of 10 mm and a stroke of 39.7 mm.
The crankshaft represents the heart of the internal combustion engine and all the performance of an engine fundamentally depends on it. It is not possible to achieve high performance and reliability without a high-quality crankshaft. That's why Malossi exclusively produces crankshafts of absolute top quality.
The half-shafts are made of 18 Ni Cr Mo5 material and the rotating masses are monolithic and forged. The machining is carried out on highly precise machine tools. Each component undergoes five heat treatments. The surface is finished in a way that ensures high reliability.
The crankshaft is dynamically balanced up to 16,000 rpm. The connecting rod is forged in 18 Ni Cr Mo5 copper-plated and coupled to the crankshaft through a precision roller bearing for high speeds.
