This crankcase has the same installation characteristics as the V-One and the same cylinder housing options. It is designed to withstand higher powers and comes with ball bearing crankshaft bearings that guarantee greater radial load capacity and additional resistance to axial loads. In addition, dedicated oil seals are included.
The main innovation of this crankcase is the reed valve intake, which guarantees an increase in power at all operating speeds and allows reaching the highest speeds. The assembly consists of a die-cast valve seat, coupled to the crankcase surface with a seal guaranteed by a special gasket, and a completely new reed valve equipped with a multiple-profile diffuser. The intake manifold is designed according to the X360 technique used in competitions and allows the system to be oriented based on the vehicle's configuration.
This crankcase is perfect to be mounted with the MHR single-ring cylinders, especially with the kit 3117361. The ideal combination is with the Malossi full shoulder crankshaft with a stroke of 60.
The V-One and VR-One crankcases are made of a high-quality lightweight aluminum alloy and are processed with diamond tools to ensure high precision. Both models feature a reinforced front arm and are equipped with pins for brake shoes and studs for mounting the gear selector. In addition, both versions are compatible with the original electric starter.
Thanks to the properly profiled and sized transfer ports, the crankcases allow obtaining higher powers without having to modify the crankcase to mount more performance cylinders. In addition, oil leakage problems have been solved thanks to the increase in the pump crankcase walls, the use of M8 stud bolts, and the extremely precise machining of the sealing surfaces.
Finally, the crankcase clamping system has been improved by eliminating nuts and directly threading the crankcase. This makes assembly and disassembly of components easier and more convenient.
