If for any reason you wish to register your VESPA in Germany there is a possibility to enable scooter riders as young as 16 years old to ride 125cc scooters (as opposed to 80cc). The 125cc exhaust system can be supplied modified and certified to restrict the 125cc motor to a top-speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). The certification is included for the subsequent vehicle inspection by the German TÜV/DEKRA.
