Exhaust Gas Temperature Detector Koso EGT-02 EVO Dual

The EGT-02 EVO is the evolution of Koso's dual exhaust gas temperature detector, which allows for even more precise engine tuning and can record up to 50 runs.

EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature. The exhaust gas temperature is measured and displayed in real-time on two separately mountable sensors, making engine tuning easier. A mixture that is too lean is known to burn too hot, while if it is too rich, the exhaust gases do not reach the temperature. Accurate measurement can save the engine in case of emergency.

Tip: to achieve optimal engine performance, the general rule is that the spark plug should be tan. Further reducing the fuel will increase engine performance, make the spark plug whiter, and may cause engine seizure. Spray the engine as lean as possible until it reaches about 650°C on a straight road at full throttle. Depending on the material, higher values can be reached, but this can lead to piston seizure due to overheating, which can be visually displayed thanks to a built-in warning function. The screen flashes red as soon as something is wrong with the engine. The available alarm values range from 200 to 1200°C.
