The construction type must be noted as a further distinguishing criterion of the rims. Depending on the brake drum used, there are both closed and open rims. In this way, for example, except for the Vespa Super 125-150, all vintage models use closed 8' rims. You will only find a 9' rim in the case of smallframes. Rim 8' closedThe closed steel rims of the earlier Vespa models are affixed to the brake drum using four nuts. The two-part rim is bolted down with six nuts. Here we are able to offer steel rims in varnished silver or in good chrome quality/ECO quality. The closed rim of the Vespa GS150 may be used as a conversion rim to 10'.
