They mark themselves out with either 2.5 mm thick friction plates or the amount of friction plates included (4-5). The DRT plain plates are available in different thicknesses. This enables even more combinational possibilities through experimentation with different friction plate thicknesses. The shorter the clutch action distance, the more direct and powerful the reaction from the clutch. The clutch separation is at its best when the clutch spring action distance is set at a minimum of 1.6 to 1.8 mm. Conclusion: Now clutches can be set up to suit the exact needs of every motor. SIP-TIP: Lubricate the friction plates thoroughly and check that the top plain plate of the assembled clutch cluster does not have contact with the outer friction plate. Adjust to fit.
