The DAYCO 95x17 timing belt is designed to ensure optimal performance and reliability in engine operation. With a tooth count of 95 and a belt width of 17 mm, this belt is essential for the proper functioning of the valves. The HT version is specifically made to withstand high temperatures, thanks to a Teflon coating that enhances its durability.
The production of these belts begins with a fabric and rubber mat, sewn together to form a roll. This roll is then mounted on a vulcanization mold, where a specific tooth profile is imparted. During the process, several layers of rubber material and a fiberglass tension cable are applied and vulcanized together, ensuring effective load transmission and greater stability. The tension cable, being a continuous material, provides the belt with superior tensile strength, while the visible stitching on the inside does not compromise the product's stability. It is important to note that two pieces of this belt are required for proper installation.
